Director, Attention Operations

We’re looking for a NYC-based seasoned media professional with a history of client service and start-up DNA. Are you someone with a proven track record of tackling interesting problems and building fun things? Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll be working on every aspect of Simulmedia’s fledgling media and client service areas. While you are fully expected to be aggressive and make things happen, a sense of humor and an open mind are mandatory.

Most of all we are looking for a client and partner facing builder; someone to come in and recruit, train and lead a team of media and client service professionals. You may come from an agency background or perhaps pricing and planning at a media company; either way candidates should have a strong background in media functions. You should be comfortable with all phases of Spot TV Advertising, from research, to planning and buying, to trafficking systems, through to reporting, reconciliation, and billing.

Key Skills:

  • Expert level knowledge of media operations, including research, pricing, and inventory management
  • Comfortable with technology including working knowledge of media optimization tools
  • Excellent communication skills at the C-Level
  • Leadership

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a media and client facing team.
  • Develop streamlined processes for executing, measuring and reporting campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with various media providers including MSO’s (cable, satellite, and telco).
  • Determine and supervise the best possible implementation of media plans and projects, ensuring all buying tactics/strategies have been followed.
  • Take primary responsibility for media performance including quality control and timely reports.
  • Oversee client services organization including analysis, ROI reporting, and client presentations.
  • Support new business activity where required.
  • Work with product management and engineering on automation of processes and integration with critical partner systems like ad trafficking.
  • Train and mentor subordinates on best practices of media.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 5-8 years experience
  • Customer service and client facing experience
  • Experience managing a team or department
  • Strong understanding of business processes within advertising and marketing services organization
  • Start-up DNA a must and Digital experience a plus
