Position Reports To: Jeff Storan, VP, Product Management
The Product Manager is responsible for identifying, planning and delivering Simulmedia’s a7 Platform to support the transformation of hundreds of millions TV viewing events per day, the identification of high value audiences in under-valued TV inventory and the generation of insights never before seen by the TV advertising industry. The Product Manager has a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
KEY SKILLS
- Creates new products out of thin air by synthesizing internal ideas, market trends and client requirements
- Captures complex product requirements and product planning and launch
- Understands the challenges of big data, data representation and user interface design
- Strong communicator with a belief in the power of television advertising
- Ability to herd cats and manage the chaos of an early stage company
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with Engineering, Science and Business Operations to manage a7 platform development and associated product features.
- Specifies market requirements for a7 platform by tracking market and technology trends and gathering feedback
- Defines product requirements and signs off on product deliverables
- Identifies and analyzes potential partner relationships
- Identifies and evaluates related build vs. buy decisions.
- Plans and prioritizes product releases.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in (or equivalent expertise/knowledge) Science, Marketing, Business or related field
- 5+ years of experience with product management and/or product development using big data
- Proficient in Power Point, Word and Excel
- Superior analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and an unnatural affection for deadlines
- High energy, passionate with a fondness for big, messy data
- Ability to work closely with an influence cross functional teams
