Position Reports To: Gary McClure, QA Manager

Manage the quality assurance phase and the product release process for the set of Simulmedia’s applications, subsystems and a7 infrastructure as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute software test plans incorporating functional, regression, and stress testing, analyzing results and recommending corrective action for Simulmedia’s applications, subsystems and a7 infrastructure.
  • Participate in the data validation process with Engineering, Attention Operations and Attention Science.
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of the a release management process to address: software build, packaging, versioning, release notes and installation scripts
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of the QA issue tracking, measurement and reporting system
  • Work with Product Management and Engineering to understand new product features and functions and develop detailed testing plans.
  • Work with Engineering to understand and resolve product defects.
  • Support Engineering and Technical Operations in system debugging and problem resolution efforts as needed.
  • Participate in the definition, implementation and execution of an automated quality assurance testing environment, when appropriate.
  • Support Technical Operations in system debugging and problem resolution efforts, as needed
  • Participate in code reviews, software design sessions, and architectural reviews
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in (or equivalent expertise) in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science
  • 5 – 8 years of experience with software product test strategies and plans development and execution, release management process development and implementation, script writing skills for developing in-house test tools across a variety of platforms
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycles
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills with an attention to detail
