Dave Morgan, CEO

Dave is a serial entrepreneur. He was the founder, CEO and Chairman of both TACODA, Inc., an online advertising company that pioneered behavioral online marketing in 2001 and was acquired by AOL in September 2007 for $275 million, and Real Media, Inc., one of the world’s first ad serving and online ad network companies and a predecessor to 24/7 Real Media (TFSM), which was later sold to WPP for $649 million. Most recently, Dave served as Executive Vice President, Global Advertising Strategy, at AOL, a Time Warner Company (TWX).

Morgan received a B.A. in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law. He lives in Manhattan with his wife, writer Lorea Canales, and their two girls.

Thomas J. Deierlein, COO

Most recently Tom served as SVP, Global Corporate Development for WPP’s Millward Brown and is a 13 year veteran of the advertising and media business. Tom is the former Chief Operating Officer at Dynamic Logic, an advertising effectiveness research firm he helped develop from 7-person start up into a high growth, clear industry leader. He helped lead the sale to Millward Brown in 2005. Immediately prior he was with NetGravity (now part of Google).

Tom is also a former U.S. Army Major and Operation Iraqi Freedom Vet. An Airborne Ranger, Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, he is now retired.

Deierlein received a B.S. in Engineering Management from West Point, a Master of Science in Systems Management from University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business in 2000.

Tom lives in Garden City, NY with his wife, Mary Beth, a teacher.

Alison Lowery, CTO, Senior VP, Engineering

Alison has more than 20 years diversified technology, product management and early stage company experience. In her most recent role, Alison was responsible for Audience Targeting technology for AOL Advertising. Prior to the 2007 AOL acquisition, Alison was TACODA’s VP, Engineering. She has also held roles as the Vice President, Strategic Engineering for 24/7 Real Media and the Global Director of Chemical Markets for ESPS, now a division of Thomson Scientific. Earlier in her career, Alison headed up the team responsible for North American Infrastructure at Zeneca, now AstraZeneca, and was a System Engineer at both ICI Americas and Hercules.

Alison has a B.S. in Computer Science from Villanova University, an M.S.E. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and MS Mgt from Penn State University. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, Allen.

Jon Werther, Chief Revenue Officer

Jon is a digital media veteran, having spent more than ten years in positions of increasing scale and responsibility at Time Warner and its AOL division, where he helped generate more than one billion dollars in revenue and EBITDA improvements during his tenure with the company. Most recently, from 2007 to 2009, he served as AOL’s Executive Vice President, Integrated Operations and Business Development. Jon started his career in 1994 as an Associate at Arnold & Porter, LLP, in Washington, D.C.

Jon holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, a J.D. from the George Washington University Law School (where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a member of the George Washington Law Review) and a B.A. from Emory University (where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa). Jon lives in New Jersey with his wife, son and daughter.

John Piccone, VP, Sales

Most recently John was Senior Vice President Business Development and Sales Strategy at HealthiNation where he was a founding member of the venture backed startup helping build the largest TV and Online video health media distribution and advertising platform. He also built the advertising sales, media operations, content distribution and business development teams. Before that, John was Vice President Sales at Blackarrow (New York) for a year as a founding member of the startup building cross platform video advertising management software.

John spent ten years (1996 – 2006) with Real Media, Inc which became 24/7 Real Media Inc. – a wholly owned subsidiary of WPP (New York). He was a founding member of the pioneering Internet advertising and technology solutions company acting in multiple roles including Vice President – International and Corporate Sales; Vice President – East Coast Sales; Vice President – Sales and Account Management; Vice President – Technology Sales for 24/7 Real Media Europe (Paris). John is a 1992 graduate of Allegheny College (PA).

John lives in Brooklyn with his wife and three sons.

Pravin Chandiramani, VP, Business Development

Pravin Chandiramani combines over nine years of experience in the business of media and technology with a background in the behavioral sciences. Pravin comes from TACODA/Platform-A where he led the Data Strategy group and was responsible for developing the audience acquisition and valuation strategy for Platform-A’s behavioral targeting solutions. From 1998 to 2004, Pravin was a technologist focused on new media and Customer Relationship Management, leading projects in vertical publishing and advertising networks.

Pravin has a B.S. in Zoology from the University of Bombay, and a M.S. in Biological Sciences from Fordham University. For his Master’s thesis Pravin spent the better part of two years observing and analyzing social interactions in baboons. He also has an M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. Pravin lives in the East Village.

Jeff Storan, VP, Product Management

Jeff Storan is a digital marketing veteran and product strategist with more than nine years experience spanning both display advertising and web analytics. Jeff specializes in recognizing data sources that have the greatest potential for increasing value for data-driven applications while balancing people’s right to privacy.

Jeff hails from Platform-A where he was responsible for behaviorally targeted audience segmentation and advertising products. He arrived to Platform-A via its acquisition of TACODA in 2006. At TACODA, he led several privacy-centric product initiatives including its Consumer Choice Initiative and improvements to the data network’s consumer opt-out mechanism. Prior to his TACODA tenure, Jeff served as the Director, Product Management for Acquire Systems, a web analytics technology shop specializing in close measurement of marketing ROI for large financial services companies.

Jeff has a B.A. in Economics from Oberlin College and lives in Brooklyn with his wife and twin sons.

Courtenay Harry, VP, Product Marketing

Courtenay Harry has worked alongside media buyers, television sales , distribution companies and technology vendors to ensure that the progression of television planning and buying fulfills the needs of today’s leading advertisers. While at MediaVest, she was responsible for developing media strategies across a range of media vehicles for Fortune 100 clients including Kraft Foods and Coca-Cola.

Courtenay was Vice President for Advertising Business Development at BlackArrow, a venture backed developer of multiplatform video ad management technology serving operators and media companies in the on demand television video marketplace. Most recently, she co-founded Leap Media Group, a DigitalTV advertising services company working with agencies to incorporate addressable and advanced television into media plans.

Courtenay earned her undergraduate degree in Government from the University of Virginia and lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.

Conor Finnegan

Conor Finnegan has worked in digital advertising and technology for the past five years. Conor was the Director of Pricing & Inventory at TACODA, where his focus was managing audience segmentation, predicting inventory avails for all products, and creating daily reports to keep track of all aspects of the operational side of the business. After TACODA was acquired by AOL, became Senior Manager in the Business Intelligence group of AOL’s Platform A. Prior to TACODA, Conor worked in technology sales and account management roles at both Quill and CDW.

Conor has a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and lives in Manhattan.

Julie Nolan

Julie Nolan has over 20 years of diversified business executive experience, having worked in executive-level positions in human resources, online advertising and broadcasting. Most recently, Julie was the Director of Administration & Human Resources for TACODA. Prior to joining TACODA, Julie was the Vice President, Human Resources and Administration for Real Media and the Director and Administration & Marketing for Publicitas Advertising Services. She established her career working in broadcasting as a Promotion Producer for KOIN-TV, Portland, Oregon; MTM Studios in Los Angeles, CA and WRGB-TV in Schenectady, New York.

Yuliya Torosjan

Yuliya Torosjan comes to Simulmedia after completing her graduate studies at Columbia University. For the last five years, Yuliya was involved in brain imaging research at the Neuroscience PET Laboratory at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Her main project was the analysis of neuronal tracts modeled from diffusion tensor data. This project relied heavily on mathematical modeling techniques. During the years of working at Mount Sinai, she co-authored seven publications in major scientific journals. She also worked as a Software Engineer at the University of Pennsylvania.

Yuliya received her B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University. She currently lives in Astoria, New York.

Bill Burke, Director

Bill Burke has extensive leadership experience in cable television and Internet businesses. Most recently, Burke served as president and CEO of The Weather Channel Companies where he oversaw all operations of The Weather Channel® network; weather.com; Weather Services International (WSI); and various digital cable, radio, newspaper and interactive television products. Prior to TWCC, Burke served as president and CEO of RSN, a broadcast TV and Internet company targeting the active outdoor sports market. He also held several key senior management positions at Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting, where he developed the business plan for Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and subsequently led the launch of this highly successful network as its first general manager. After the launch of TCM, Burke was named president of TBS Superstation and in 1999 was named CEO of News and Information for Time Warner Digital media.

Burke is a graduate of Amherst College and received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Rich Levandov, Director

Rich Levandov has more than 20 years of senior executive and principal investing experience in more than 100 technology companies over that time. Rich is a partner in Avalon Ventures, a San Diego-based venture firm. Prior to Avalon, Rich was a partner in both Masthead Venture Partners and SOFTBANK Technology Ventures. Before entering the venture capital world, Rich served as Vice President of Business Development at America Online and was a co-founder and Vice President of Phoenix Technologies, Ltd., a personal computer systems software company.

Mr. Levandov holds a B.S. degree from Binghamton University.
