Gordon Ho is the former Executive Vice President of Content, Marketing and Business Development at Walt Disney Home Entertainment and is the principal of GKH Media, an entertainment & technology consultancy, specializing in content monetization and marketing. Gordon currently works as CMO of 24/7 Card, a start-up payments platform, and is co-founder of MyMovieDeals.Com, a deals site for movie and concession savings. Ho also serves as an advisory board member of i.TV, a leading 2nd screen & social TV platform and Rixty, an alternative payments solution for videogames and digital goods.
At Disney, Gordon led the creation of the direct-to-video category and launched the #1 selling The Lion King, Toy Story, and Pirates of the Carribean. As business development head, Gordon oversaw the expansion into the Blu-ray, 3D, social media and digital content platforms including the creation of original web series with the legendary Stan Lee. His team created the industry’s #1 CRM loyalty program, Disney Movie Rewards, and the #1 paid subscription program, Disney Movie Club.
Gordon drove the development of global transmedia franchise strategies within his division leading to the success of Disney’s Fairies, High School Musical and ABC’s LOST. Gordon also led Disney Studio’s environmental efforts as member of Disney’s Executive Environmental Council.
Previously, Gordon held positions in Hewlett Packard product management and Leo Burnett advertising. Gordon holds an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. Gordon also serves on the Boards of the Coaliation of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE), and PromaxBDA, the leading TV marketing organization, as Chair of their Research Committee.
