Launch of YouTube TV Could Result in an ‘Aggressive’ Pay TV War

Google have made two significant moves into the TV industry in recent weeks. First they launched YouTube TV, a competitively priced cloud-based TV subscription package. Then the search giant also started to make TV inventory available to buy via DoubleClick Bid Manager, the company’s market-leading DSP. Here Dave Morgan, CEO of Simulmedia and one of the TV advertising world’s most respected commentators, discusses the implications for both for his business and for the wider industry. Filmed in Porto at the I-COM Global Summit. Morgan will also be speaking at TV Rise in San Sebastian, which goes from June 6th to 8th, 2017.
