Peacock TV

What is Peacock TV?

Peacock is an OTT streaming TV service owned by NBCUniversal and launched in July 2020, and has over 15 million paid subscribers in the United States. Viewers can access the platform’s on-demand content through either a free ad-supported plan or one of two subscription packages.

How much does Peacock TV cost?

Peacock TV offers three packages. The free ad-supported plan is an attractive offer for consumers who want to cut down on costs. The platform also offers two subscription packages. The premium ad-supported plan is $4.99 a month and offers an even larger range of content. The premium plus plan is the most expensive — $9.99 monthly — but allows viewers to watch on-demand content without ads.

What does Peacock TV offer?

Peacock TV’s library mainly comprises content from NBCUniversal, including popular shows like MSNBC, NBC News, E!, Univision, Syfy and Bravo, as well as Peacock Original productions. The platform includes both linear channels, such as NBC Sports and Hallmark, as well as non-linear curated channels, like the Unsolved Mysteries channel.

On-demand content is determined by what package tier the viewer has. Opting for Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus includes access to live news, sports content from premier leagues and more.

How does advertising work on Peacock TV?

Peacock TV boasts over 54 million monthly active users and counting, making it an attractive space for advertisers to reach their desired audience.

Advertisers can create and activate their performance campaigns through Peacock TV’s self-serve programmatic advertising platform, Peacock Ad Manager. There are two available packages within the platform: Peacock Premier, which offers access to premium content, and Peacock AX, which offers extended reach.

With the service, advertisers can upload creative, active campaigns and measure performance. The platform offers several types of advertisements, giving advertisers the flexibility to create a campaign best suited to their needs. They include prime pods, solo ads, on command ads, curator ads, pause ads, binge ads, engagement ads, spotlight ads and pod bounce.

Simulmedia’s patented technology allows advertisers to target audience reach with greater precision, granularity and timeliness.

Through our TV+® platform for linear and streaming TV planning, buying, activation and measurement, we have direct integrations to over 250 linear and CTV networks and publishers, including Peacock TV.
